To configure foreground/background initialization options
1.
From the Home page, click Storage Management. Then, click RAID Racks.
2.
Click details at the end of the row of the RAID Rack to which to view the initialization
configuration.
By default, the box is checked for background initialization (BGI).
BGI sets up RAID parity non-destructively so the new System Drive used as soon as it has been
created. When using BGI, it is not necessary to wait for initialization to complete.
To use foreground initialization instead, remove the checkmark from the Background
Initialization check box and click Set Background Initialization.
