Problem
No weld current
(plug fuse blowing).
No weld current
Unstable arc.
Weld current interrupted. Thermal trip has operated.
Porous weld.
Irregular weld cap.
Poor penetration.
Excessive penetration.
Possible Cause
Blown rectifier.
Poor earth clamp connection.
Break in torch lead.
Replace earth lead.
Incorrect settings.
Impurities in the weld area.
Rusty or dirty joints.
Torch incorrectly held.
Weld current too low.
Arc too long
Weld current too high.
