From the Main Menu, select System Tools, then Terminal.

Enter the command "/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p [printer name] -E -v [device] -m
ppd".
Example
/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p km2430dl -E -v socket://172.16.0.100 -m
