  • Page 11 Synergy Handset ready for use. 1. Install the rechargeable batteries in the handset The Synergy Handset uses a nickel cadmium (NiCad) battery pack supplied. Hold the handset with the keypad facing down, remove the clear plastic directory label cover and push and slide open the battery compartment.
  • Page 12 3. Charge the handset battery for at least 16 hours Before you use your Synergy Handset for the first time it is important to have the handset battery fully charged. We recommend that you leave the Synergy Handset on charge for at least 16 hours.

    Operating with additional base stations You can use up to six handsets on each Synergy base station, and up to four base stations with your handset to build up a comprehensive cordless telephone system. The handset supplied with each base station is already registered as HSET 1.
