5. Open the system board shielding. See "Opening the system board shielding"
on page 84.
6. Disconnect the microprocessor fan assembly cables from the system board. See
"System board connectors" on page 81.
7. Remove the heat sink assembly to gain access to the microprocessor fan
assembly. See "Removing the microprocessor and heat sink assembly" on page
101.
8. Remove the four screws that attach the microprocessor fan assembly to the
main bracket.
9. Remove the optical drive and the rear I/O assembly to gain access to all the
11 screws that hold the LCD panel. See "Removing the optical drive" on page
91 and "Removing the rear I/O assembly" on page 108.
10. Remove all the 11 screws that secure the main bracket to the front bezel.
