AC MAINS OPERATION

CONNECTING POWER
• Ensure that the mains wall socket is switched off and
connect the mains power adaptor.
• Insert the DC power jack into the input on the rear of
the unit (16).

bATTERY OPERATION

Remove the battery compartment cover, by pressing the
plastic tab inwards.
Referring to the diagram below, fit 6 x AA batteries into the
battery compartment. Alkaline batteries are recommended
for best performance.

NOTE: Make sure you match the + / - polarities of the AA
batteries with the markings inside the compartment.

bATTERY dISPOSAL

Dispose of used batteries with regard to the recycling
regulations in your area. Do NOT short circuit batteries or
throw them into water, the general rubbish or in a fire.
Weak batteries can leak and damage the radio.
Replace them in good time!

gETTINg STARTEd

Switching on your radio for the first time
1 Ensure the mains power is connected
Check the connection of the mains adaptor to the DC
power socket on the rear of the radio (16).
2 Extend the telescopic aerial as far as it can go.
3 Slide the Power ON/OFF switch to ON to turn on the
radio.
The radio will automatically tune and operate the quick
scan.

gETTINg STARTEd
During scan mode, the LCD will display a slide bar that
indicates the progress of the scan, and the amount of
radio stations that have been found so far. Once the scan
has finished, the radio will select the first alphanumeric
station.
NOTE: The name of the found group of DAB radio stations
will be displayed on the bottom half of the display.
Memory
When you power up the radio again, the radio plays the
same mode (DAB or FM) as the last operation.
If you hear no sound, then press the "VOL +" control until
you reach a desired level.
If the volume is too high, then press the "VOL -" control to
decrease the volume level.
To listen the stations that have been stored press either /
buttons to cycle through.
Each time you press the forward and backward buttons you
will skip to the next or previous stored station. The radio
will then display the station name.
Standby
To turn the radio off press and hold the SLEEP/ button
for 2 seconds.
