With Mac®OS X
1. Set the LEICA DIGILUX 2 to the USB mode PTP
(see above) and
2. connect it to a free USB lead port on your compu-
ter using the USB lead (F) supplied.
3. The computer launches an assistant to access the
camera.
4. You can now select iPhoto®or another compatible
program to transfer the data to the computer or to
edit them.
Note: The picture files can be transferred to other
computers with an optional card reader for SD
memory cards. Further details are available from your
dealer.

Remote control mode via the USB connection

with Mac®and Windows ®
1. Insert the CD-ROM (L) entitled "LEICA Digital
Camera Software" in your computer's drive or
download the most up-to-date version from the
download area of the Leica homepage and install
the software.
2. Set the LEICA DIGILUX 2 to the USB mode n
(see above),
3. set it to record mode (not to review mode!), and
4. connect it to a free USB port on your computer
using the USB lead supplied.
5. The computer automatically detects the camera.
6. Launch the LEICA USB Remote Control Software.
More detailed instructions can be found in the help
menu within the program.
Printing copies by direct USB connection to a
printer
With the LEICA DIGILUX 2, you can print your pictures
out quickly and easily. All you need to do is connect it
directly to a printer that supports the USB Direct Print
method using the USB lead supplied (F).
Notes:
• We recommend that you run the camera from the
mains for this application (see p. 118).
• Depending on the printer type, set the camera to
MASS STORAGE (see p. 174) or PTP (see p. 175).
• For further details, please refer to the printer
manual.
Making the connection
1. Insert a memory card into the camera (see p. 119).
2. Turn on the camera (see p. 120).
3. Connect the USB lead supplied. The smaller plug is
inserted in the USB socket of the camera (1.33),
the other in the corresponding socket on the
printer.
