8) Level the system.
If there is a protective material (blue plate) on the top surface of the stage, remove it. If
the controller is to be set up on the shelf under the measurement stand, place the
controller in position at this time.
With the stage positioned near the center in both X and Y directions, place a level on the
stage glass and adjust the height adjustment nuts on the adjustable legs of the
measurement stand and main unit until the stage glass is level. Use the four adjustable
legs of the measurement stand for rough adjustment, and use the three adjustable legs
on the main unit for fine adjustment. After all adjustments have been completed, be sure
to tighten the locking nuts on all of the adjustable legs on the measurement stand and
the main unit.
In this process, make sure that all four adjustable legs of the measurement stand are in
secure contact with the floor and that the stand is stable.

9) Connect the cables between the main unit and controller.
Connect the cables between the main unit and the controller, referring to the illustration
on the following page.
* Note: Do not connect the USB cable or IEEE1394 cable to the host computer at this
time.
10) Connect the power cord.
Plug the power cord of the controller into a three-prong power outlet.
