Troubleshooting
Symptom
The Power does not turned on.
No sound.
Radio stations can't be tuned
in properly.

Preset stations cannot be
received.
Poor FM reception.
Cause
The power cord is
disconnected.
 The speaker wires are
disconnected.
 The speaker volume is
adjusted too low.
 The MUTE button is
pressed to ON.
 The selected decoding
mode is not matched to
the input signal format.
 Incorrect selection of
input source.
 Incorrect connections
between the
components.
 The antenna is
positioned or connected
poorly.
 The signal strength of
the radio station is too
weak.
 No stations have been
preset or preset stations
have been cleared (when
tuning by scanning
preset channels).
 An incorrect station
frequency has been
memorized.
 The memorized stations
are cleared.
 No antenna is connected.
 The antenna is not
positioned for the best
reception.
Solution
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet
securely.
 Check the speaker connections.
 Adjust the speaker volume.
 Press the MUTE button to cancel the
muting eff ect.
 Select the available decoding mode.
 Select the desired input source
correctly.
 Make connections correctly.
 Check the antenna connection and
adjust its position.
 Tune to the station manually.
 Preset some radio stations, see page
28 for details.
 Memorize the correct station
frequency.
 Memorize the stations again.
 Connect the antenna.
 Change the position of the antenna.
