If exposure occurs in this setting, the automatic
program correctly combines aperture and shutter
speed; however, the automatically computed lens
aperture is restricted to the range between
maximum aperture and the smallest aperture set
on the lens itself.
The aperture scale is visible at the right in the
viewfinder frame, showing what aperture setting
has been computed. The apertures are produced
continuously, two adjacent LEDs light up in case
of intermediate values.
In extreme brightness or with very little light the
aperture range may no longer be adequate for the
preselected shutter speed. This is indicated by the
aperture setting display flashing. In this case, the
shutter speed is automatically corrected and the
newly computed speed shown in the viewfinder.
Should both aperture and shutter speed display
flash simultaneously, the camera's working range
has been exceeded.
