Mode selection

To choose a mode, press the release button and at
the same time slide the mode selector [29] to the
required position. By pressing the release button,
the camera is switched on. The viewfinder
displays the mode you have selected in the lower
left-hand corner. The window [23] next to the
shutter speed setting ring also displays the mode
setting. Check that the mode selector engages
properly. To change the setting, the release
button must be pushed first.
