DVD or VCD playback on LinkTheater is very easy, it's much like a stand-alone DVD player. There are two
ways to begin DVD or VCD playback:
1) If 'Auto Play' is turned on in the DVD Settings Menu then just inserting a DVD or VCD will begin
playback.
2) If 'Auto Play' is not turned on, then you will have to manually launch DVD Playback by following these
steps:
Insert the DVD or VCD movie into LinkTheater's DVD Drive.
Once it has been inserted, DVD or VCD playback will be available
from the Log In page. Press the 'HOME' button on the remote
control. The top icon will be your DVD or VCD movie, select it
with the directional pad and press the 'ENTER' button on the
remote control.
Once you select the DVD or VCD with the remote control, playback will automatically begin.
Please refer to the remote control section to learn more about the remote control's features in DVD/VCD
playback mode.
To return to the Log In menu, press the remote control's 'HOME' button after DVD Playback has
been stopped.
Progressive Scan Info: The DVD player in LinkTheater is progressive scan compatible. Progressive scan mode
will automatically be activated if you are in a supported video mode. Only 480p, 720p, and 1080i are
supported progressive scan modes, thus, component video cables are required for progressive scan playback
(this is an industry standard). When a progressive scan compatible mode is selected, a 'PSCAN' icon will be
lit up on LinkTheater's LED Display.
To exit back to the main Log In page, press the 'HOME' button on the remote control after all file playback
has been stopped.
