The Log In Screen

The Log In screen is the screen LinkTheater defaults to after start up. It is also the only screen that gives you
access to all of your computers and devices. If at any time you wish to return to the Log In screen, press the
'HOME' button on the remote control; if you are playing back a media file, then press the 'STOP' button first.
The LinkTheater uses UPnP (Universal Plug 'N Play) technology to automatically add computers and devices to
the Log In screen. Unless UPnP has been intentionally disabled on a device, you may be required to add a
computer or device manually. In most cases this step is not necessary and the computer or device will
automatically appear on the Log In screen.
Computers or devices that are presently on will be displayed next to
a teal colored bullet. Computers or devices that are presently off
will be displayed next to a dull grey colored bullet. The last
computer or device you accessed will be displayed with a picture of
a home in the bullet.
To manually add a computer or device to LinkTheater, press the
'Add' button on the Log In screen. Use the remote control's
directional pad to navigate to the 'Add' button and then press the
'ENTER' button on the remote control.
The next screen will guide you through adding a computer or
device to the LinkTheater:
Media Server Name – Enter an appropriate name to identify this
computer or device on the Log In screen.
Media Server IP – Enter the IP Address of the media server you wish
to connect to. Refer to your computer's operating system
documentation or your device's documentation to help you
determine the IP Address.
Always connect to this Media Server – Checking this box will inform
LinkTheater to always manually add this Media Server every time it starts up.
When you have completed inputting the entry, press the 'Save' button.
If a computer or device is on the Log In screen that is no longer
necessary it can be removed by pressing on the 'Delete' button.
Use the remote control's directional pad to navigate to the 'Delete'
button and then press the 'ENTER' button on the
remote control.
Check the appropriate computers or devices to be removed and
then press the 'Delete' button. After the computers or devices
have been deleted, you will need to press the 'Back' button to
return to the Log In screen.
