Tips
If
stays in the viewfinder, the subject is located closer than the closest focusing
distance for the lens. Move away from the subject and refocus.
If
blinks in the viewfinder, autofocus is not possible and the shutter locks.

Single Servo AF is convenient for off-center subjects. Refer to "Autofocus with the
Main Subject Off-Center" on page 6-36.

constant focus on a stationary
subject for multiple exposures, set
the Drive mode to Single-Frame, or
set the camera to Manual focus.
Focus tracking remains active as
long as you keep the Shutter
