Before You Start Thank you for the purchase of your EdgeConnect 2402LFPoE Managed Ethernet Switch. Please read this guide thoroughly as it describes how to initially connect to your 2402 Switch. Please refer to the User Manual for instructions on the physical installation and power requirements of the EdgeConnect 2402LFPoE Managed Switch. - Page 3 Instructions Step 1 − Connecting the Cables Front View Back View 1. If an uplink connection to the WAN or another switch is desired, then connect the 10/100/1000 Mbps combo port 26 (denoted by “C” in the above figure) to a switch or router through an Ethernet cable or through a fiber cable using Mini-GBIC SFP connector.
- Page 4 Step 2 − Configuring 2402LFPoE through GUI 1. The EdgeConnect 2402LFPoE comes preconfigured with 192.168.1.254 local LAN address with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Configure the IP address of the Ethernet adapter of the computer connected to 2402LFPoE’s port 24 to any address other than 192.168.1.1 in the same subnet mask, for example 192.168.1.10.
