ELAYS
iSense includes the (optional) ability to trigger connected relays as follows:
1. Manual Activation: Relays 1 and 2 may be manually triggered via the
Cortex Viewer application.
2. Counting Relays:
i. Out 1 is triggered for 1 second for each person counted entering (In).
ii. Out 2 is triggered for 1 second for each person counted exiting (Out).
The Counting Relays are enabled every 30-second period. If multiple people
are counted during the 30 seconds, the relay is triggered for each person
counted, with an interval of 0.3 seconds between them.
Note:
Either Relays 1 and 2 OR Relays 3 and 4 can be operational. Because of mutually
exclusive configuration settings, all the relays cannot function simultaneously.

ELAYS
Hardware:
 For Manual Activation, connect to the Relay PINs with an 8-pin connector as
follows:
i. The first relay is connected to Relay 1.
ii. The second relay is connected to Relay 2.
 For Counting Relays, connect to the Solid State PINs with an 8-pin connector as
follows:
i. The In Relay is connected to Out 1.
ii. The Out Relay is connected to Out 2.
Software:
With Device Explorer (on page 4-3) open:
1. Select the iSense device in the List View.
2. In the Relay / Input frame of the Advanced Settings tab:
i. For Manual Activation, select Idle as the Relay Policy.
ii. For Counting Relays, select Pulse as the Relay Policy.
