6.1 SERVICE TEST MODE

1. Status and Conditions of Service Test Mode
• During Service Test mode, an emergency shutdown will not take place even when failures shown below are detected.
(A detected failure will be ignored.)
• Even after an emergency shutdown took place after any of the failures shown below had been detected in Normal mode,
the unit can be turned ON within 1 minute after such shutdown.
• Accumulated power-on time can be confirmed.
2. How to Enter Test Mode
• To turn the unit on and enter Test mode, press the ESC key and press the +10 key successively on the service remote
control unit (GGF1381) during Power Standby mode.
*The initial function setting is iPod.
• The following indications will be displayed immediately after you enter Test mode (during 3 sec when "Hello" is displayed
during normal startup). What is displayed depends on how the unit shut itself off before entering Test mode.

Then the volume level is displayed for 3 sec, in the same way as during normal startup, then the selected function is
displayed. "SERVICE TEST" is displayed on the top line.

Afterward, "SERVICE TEST" is displayed on the top line when the function is switched.
*To terminate Test mode, set the Power switch to OFF or unplug the AC power cord.
*When Test mode is terminated, only RAM data regarding the above-mentioned errors will be initialized.
(RAM data that can be set by users will not be initialized.)
3. Available Operations
• Basically the same operations that are available in Normal mode can be performed in Test mode.
