Adjusting the speaker volume
of each speaker
— Test Tone
To enjoy Dolby Pro Logic Surround sound,
adjust the volume of each speaker using the test
tone that the system provides.

Press PRO LOGIC when the power is
on.
The indicator lights up.

Press TEST TONE on the remote.
The test tone is heard from the speakers in
the following order.
LEFT (front left) t CENTER (center) t
RIGHT (front right) t
SURROUND (surround) t ...

From your listening position, adjust the
volume until the volume level of the
test tone from each speaker sounds
the same.
To adjust Do this
the volume of the Press CENTER LEVEL +/–
center speaker on the remote.
the volume of the Press SURR LEVEL +/– on
surround speakers the remote.

From your listening position, adjust the
balance.
To adjust Do this
Press < or , while
the balance
between the front "LEFT", "CENTER" or
left and front right "RIGHT" appears.

Press TEST TONE on the remote when
you are done adjusting.
The test tone is turned off.
Note
The test tone feature works only for Dolby Pro Logic
Surround sound.
Tip
If you turn VOLUME (or press VOL + or – on the
remote) all the speaker volume changes.

Setting the clock

Press ?/1 to turn on the system.

Press c/CLOCK SET.

Press M/m repeatedly to set the hour.

Press ENTER.

Press M/m repeatedly to set the
minute.

Press ENTER.
The clock starts working.
To adjust the clock
1
Press c/CLOCK SET.
2
Press M/m to select "CLOCK SET", then
press ENTER.

Do the same procedures as step 3 to 6
above.
Notes
• The clock settings are canceled when you disconnect
the power cord or if a power failure occurs.
• You cannot set the clock in Power Saving Mode
(page 25).
