Troubleshooting: Compass
I'm not getting an accurate reading from the compass
Try the following actions:
If the compass doesn't point north, move your BlackBerry device away from metal objects, such as magnets or
electronics.
If you have turned on Location Services and are navigating based on true north, you need the GPS receiver to be able to
connect to GPS satellites. Try moving outside or near a window in order to establish a GPS connection.
I'm seeing the interference indicator when I try to use the compass
The interference indicator appears on the screen when something is interfering with the compass on your BlackBerry
device.
Try the following action:
Move your device away from metal, then rotate and tilt your device until the indicator disappears.
