5.3 FIRMWARE UPDATE

5.3.1 TYPE OF FIRMWARE

The table lists the firmware program used by this machine.

Example: "A0511141709:14F7" is the version A, which has been made at
17:09 on November 14th in 2005. "14F7" is a check sum.

5.3.2 PRECAUTION

You need to prepare the following items before firmware update.
• Firmware
• Windows PC
• Parallel interface cable

5.3.3 PARALLEL INTERFACE CABLE CONNECTION

Connecting the machine to your PC

1. Make sure that your PC is turned off.
2. Make sure that the power cord of the machine is unplugged from a wall socket
or other power source.
3. Connect the parallel interface cable to the parallel port on the back of the
machine and secure it with the lock wires.
4. Connect the other end of the interface cable to the machine port of your PC
and secure it with the two screws.
