Charging the Bluetooth Lapel Microphone
The PRYMEBLU Lapel Microphone has an internal Lithium Ion rechargeable battery pack which must be
charged prior to operation, and must be recharged regularly. A fully charged battery will provide
approximately 12 hours (or more) of operation before needing to be recharged. However, operating time
can vary depending on usage and the condition of the battery pack. Recharge the battery regularly.
STEP ONE: Charging the Bluetooth Lapel Microphone
To charge the PRYMEBLU Lapel Microphone
1. Ensure the PRYMEBLU Lapel Microphone is turned o using the multifunction button.
2. Plug the supplied wall charger into a standard 120 volt AC outlet.
3. Plug the charge cable into the AC wall charger and then into the charge jack on the side of the
PRYMEBLU Lapel Microphone. You will need to remove the protective rubber cover that is inserted
into the charge jack. (To prevent dust and moisture from damaging your lapel microphone, always
ensure this cover is in place when you are not charging the lapel mic.)
4. Once the charging process has begun, the LED indicator on the back of the PRYMEBLU Lapel
Microphone will show a ashing red light. When the battery is done charging, the LED light will
change to solid red light.
5. Typical charge time is approximately 4 hours. Actual charge time will vary depending on several
factors including the battery's charge state, condition, and age.
6. Disconnect the charger from the lapel mic when charging is completed.
Charging Cautions:
- Use only the wall charger supplied by the manufacturer. Do not use any other charger.
- Do not use a wall charger that appears to be damaged. (Example: frayed wires, melted plastic, etc.)
Contact PRYME to get a new manufacturer-approved replacement charger.
- Do not tamper with or modify the PRYMEBLU Lapel Microphone or charger.
-Always turn the power switch to the o position when charging the PRYMEBLU Lapel Microphone.

Controls and Connection
EARPHONE JACK
Any standard 3.5 mm mono or stereo listen-only earphone
can be plugged into this jack. Received calls can be heard
over the earphone.
Can also be used with 3.5 mm 4-conductor
(Apple iPhone compatible) audio accessories
that contain both earphones and a microphone.
Received calls can be heard over the accessory
earphones and transmit audio will be taken
from the accessory microphone.
Install the supplied dust cover when
the jack is not in use.
PTT BUTTON
When the PRYMEBLU lapel
microphone is paired with a
PRYMEBLU Adapter, holding
this button down activates the
Push-to-Talk feature of the
two-way radio.
VOLUME UP/DOWN BUTTONS
These buttons can be used to
set the volume level of the
BTH-LMIC's earphone
MULTIFUNCTION BUTTON
Turns the PRYMEBLU lapel microphone on
and o . Also, used to place the PRYMEBLU
lapel microphone in pairing mode so that
it can be connected wirelessly to a new
PRYMEBLU Adapter or cellular telephone.
CLOTHING CLIP
The alligator-type clip secures the
PRYMEBLU lapel microphone to the user's
clothing during use. The clip can be rotated
to allow the mic to be better positioned.
Connecting an Audio Accessory to the Lapel Microphone
In order to be able to hear incoming signals received by the two-way radio, the PRYMEBLU Lapel
Microphone must be used with an earphone. A PRYME EH-1189SC ear bud-style earphone is included
with the PRYME Lapel Microphone kit.
STEP TWO: Connecting the Earphone to the Lapel Microphone
1. Plug the earphone into the 3.5 mm audio jack located on the top of the PRYMEBLU Lapel
Microphone. Make sure that the connector on the earphone is pushed all the way into the jack on the
lapel microphone.
2. You can adjust the volume of received signals by using the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons
on the front of the lapel microphone.
Other Audio Accessories:
Although the BTH-LMIC lapel microphone kit includes a PRYME ear bud-style earphone, it is possible
to use a di erent audio accessory, if you wish. The 3.5 mm audio jack on the lapel mic will accept any
mono or stereo earphone with a 3.5 mm audio plug. You can also use any Apple iPhone compatible
audio accessory with a 3.5 mm 4-conductor plug. If the audio accessory has a built-in microphone,
transmit audio will be taken from the accessory microphone.
PRYME makes a variety of listen-only earphones in di erent styles that will work with the BTH-LMIC kit.
