– The child lock is on. See 'System Menu Options -
Playback settings - Child lock' for details.
– Wrong region code. Check the rear or bottom of the
DVD recorder for the supported region code.
– There is no recording on the disc or wrong disc type.
See 'Playback from Disc - Playable discs' for details.
– Make sure the disc is not scratched or warped.
– The disc does not match with the TV colour system
standard (PAL/NTSC).
– The disc is dirty. Clean the disc.
– Sometimes a small amount of picture distortion may
appear. This is not a malfunction.
– Check that the antenna cable is plugged in fi rmly.
– Fine-tune your TV channel. See 'System Menu Options -
Tuner settings - Manual install - Finetune' for details.
– Do not connect any cables from this recorder to the
'Phono' input of your amplifi er.
– If you are playing a DTS CD, you must use the
COAXIAL or OPTICAL-DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT

support DTS, distorted sound might occur.
– If this unit is connected to the TV through the HDMI
connection, there may be no surround sound on
Coaxial/Optical output, depending on the TVs audio
capabilities. In this case, press OPTIONS on the remote
control, go to Audio Output setting and set the { HDMI
audio } to { Disable }.
– This unit only supports pictures in JPEG-Exif fi le format,
using 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, with a
resolution not exceeding 4096 x 4096 (horizontal/
vertical). JPEG pictures that downloaded from the
internet or have been modifi ed using computer may not
be able to display properly.
– Ensure that the DivX fi le is encoded according to the
'Home Theatre Profi le' with the DivX encoder.
– Check that the DivX movie downloaded is a complete
fi le.
