13. Using An External Hard Drive

The NVS2825 allows a user to copy a memory card to both the NVS2825 hard
drive and to an external USB hard drive at the same time, making two copies of
data in a single operation. The NVS2825 provides "Multi-copy" and "Sync"
functions to make backup more reliable.

Connect an external USB hard drive using the supplied USB 3.0 micro-B cable
during "XCopy ready" mode. Connect the larger plug to the USB 3.0 port of the
NVS2825. The NVS2825 will detect the device and check the external hard drive.
Reference
● When using Multi Copy & Sync functions, the capacity of the external USB hard
drive should be larger than 128GB. If an external USB hard drive--less than
128GB--is connected, the Copy Menu will be displayed when inserting a
memory card.
● Connect both the NVS2825 and the USB external hard drive to their AC power
adapters. If the NVS2825 is used to copy to another NEXTO backup device
(via the USB adapter cable) the NVS2825 will not need to be connected to the
AC power adapter. (Other Nexto backup devices include the NextoDI ND2700/
ND2730)
