    Using your oven Before first use o To remove any residue from the oven that may have been left from manufacturing process, should select conventional oven function and then turn the thermostat control knob to its maximum temperature setting. o It is perfectly normal for a smell to be produced during this process.

    TOP ELEMENT ONLY: This method of cooking uses the outer part of the top element to direct heat downwards onto the food. For gentle cooking, browning or keeping cooked dishes warm. IMPORTANT: You should ensure that the handle for the enamelled baking tray is connected correctly when using it.

    o Before cooking, check that any unused accessories are removed from the oven. o Place cooking trays in the centre of the oven and leave gaps between the trays to allow air to circulate. o Try to open the door as little as possible to view the dishes. o The oven light will remain on during cooking.

    Using the hob top Before first use IMPORTANT: You should clean the hob surface (see “Cleaning and maintenance” section). o You should switch on one cooking zone at a time, for 5 minutes at the maximum setting. This will help to eliminate any new smell that exists and evaporate any humidity that has formed on the heating elements during transit.

    Hob guidelines o The first few times the hob top is used, it may give off an acrid, burning smell. This smell will disappear completely with repeated use. o The worktop is fitted with cooking areas of different diameter and power. o The positions where the heat will radiate from are clearly marked on the hob top.

    Especially if pointed or hard objects are allowed to fall on it with some force. o DO NOT USE THE HOB IF THE SURFACE BECOMES BROKEN OR CRACKED.     Any damage that is caused to the appliance by a cleaning Venini free of charge, product will not be fixed by even if the appliance is within the guarantee period. Cleaning the hob top o Any residues that are left on the hob top surface from cleaning agents will damage it.
  • Page 20: Replacing The Oven Bulb

    Replacing the oven bulb IMPORTANT: The oven must be disconnected from your ma ins supply before you attempt to either remove or replace the oven bulb. o Remove all oven shelves and the drip tray. o Unscrew the lamp cover. o Unscrew the bulb and remove it from its holder.
  • Page 21 o If you raise both of the movable bolts (B), then the hinges (A) are released from the oven housing. o You should grip the sides of the door at the centre and then incline it slightly towards the cooker cavity and then pull it gently away from the cooker cavity.

    Installation The installation must be carried out by a qualified technician, in accordance with the current Regulations. Positioning The adjacent furniture and all materials used in the installation must be able to withstand a minimum temperature of 85°C above the ambient temperature o f t he room it is located in, whilst in use.
  • Page 23 (including the burners). o Venini do not recommend that the cooker is positioned below wall cupboards, as the heat and steam from the appliance and what is being cooked, may damage the cupboard and its contents.
  • Page 24: Safety Chain Anchors

    o The cooker is fitted with four feet that can be adjusted to match height your kitchen cabinets. o If the cooker is not level or is unstable due to an uneven floor surface, use the adjustable feet to alter each corner until the cooker is level.
  • Page 25: Securing The Safety Chains

    Securing the safety chains o Before securing the safety chains, check that you have completed the installation process and that all connections have been made successfully and that the cooker is in its final operating position. o To fix the security chains to the ir anchor b rackets: Loosen the hex nut at the unattached end of the safety chain, until it is flush with the screw end.

    This appliance must be installed by a qualified technician in accordance with the latest edition of the Regulations and in compliance with Venini’s instructions. Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the supply voltage marked on the rating plate corresponds with your mains supply voltage.

    o Release the cover plate by removing the cover screw. o Loosen the cable clamp. o Connect the mains supply cable to the terminal block on the cooker using the colour code on the previous page. o Secure the cable clamp. Check the cable terminals for tightness and ensure that the terminal links are in place, then replace the cover plate and cover screw.
