ADJUSTING THE SPEAKER BALANCE

Press TEST.
'TEST LEFT" appears on the display
Set the selector dial to the
AMPfTUN (or DSPfTUN)
position
Turn up the volume.
You will hear a test tone (like pink noise) from each
speaker for about two seconds in the following order:
left main speaker, centel speaker, right main speaker,
light rear speakel and left real speaker The display
changes as shown below
The adjustment of each speaker sound output level should
be performed at your listening position with the remote
control After completing the adjustments, use VOLUME
(+/-)
at your listening position to check if the adjustments
are satisfactory

Press SPEAKERS A or B
to select the main
speakers to be used.
If you use two main speaker
systems, press both A and B
Set BASS, TREBLE and BALANCE to the
"0"
position

Turn the power on.
This procedure lets you adjust the sound output level
balance between the main, center and lear speakels by using
the built-in test tone generator When this adjustment is
performed, the sound output level heard at the listening
position will be the same flOm each speakel This is
important for the best performance of the digital sound field
processor, the Dolby Pro Logic decoder, Dolby Digital
decoder and DTS decoder

in the standby 1110de and check the speake! connections
