GETTING STARTED
Check that the following items are included in your package
Remote control
@YAMAIIA
Batteries (AAA, ROa, UM-4 type)
Indoor FM antenna
AM loop antenna
Antenna adapter
(U 5 A and Canada models only)
Quick reference card
Connection guide
If the remote control operates only when it is close to the
unit, the batteries are weak Replace all the batteries with
new ones
Be sure to replace the battelies within about two minutes
If it takes longer than two minutes, the codes set for the
lemote control will return to the factory settings (Refer
to pages 42 to 49 about the remote control)

Turn the remote control over and slide the
battery compartment cover in the direction of
the arrow.

Insert the batteries (AAA, R03 or UM-4 type)
according the polarity markings on the inside
of the battery compartment.

Close the battery compartment cover.

the battely compattment)
• Remove the batteries if the remote conllo! will not be used fOt an
extended period of time
• If the battelies have leaked, dispose of them immediately Avoid
touching the leaked matetial Ot letting it come into contact with
clothing, etc Clean the battety compartment tholOughly befOte
installing new batteries
