These keys provide a quick means of moving the cursor to the start of the date or time.

Enter the required date and time using the number keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and zero

Alternatively, to exit without searching, press the search key again.
The format for the date and time is DD/MM/YY HH:MM:SS where:
•
DD is the day of the month (00 to 31),
•
MM is the month (01 to 12),
•
YY is the year (e.g. 02 for the year 2002),
•
HH is the hour in 24-hour format (00 to 23),
•
MM is the number of minutes past the hour (00 to 59) and
•
SS is the number of seconds past the minute (00 to 59).
If the search fails to find anything:
•
Check that you have entered a valid date and time.
•
Check that images with this date and time exist on the hard drives (see section 9.1)
•
Use the SWEEP mode (section 7.5).

Sweep Mode
This mode allows you to search through the contents of the hard drives (or CD) and provides a quick method
of finding stored images even if you do not know the date and time that you require.

Press the PAUSE key to enter replay mode
Press the ALT key and the SEARCH key to enter SWEEP mode. The displayed
dashes represent the contents of a whole disc drive. The block indicates which part
of the drive is currently being displayed.
If you have a VDM with dual hard drives (and a CD is not currently inserted), the up
or down keys to select which drive you wish to sweep through. The drive symbol is
displayed at the top of the screen to indicate the currently selected drive.

Press the
key to go to the start, middle or end of the currently selected
drive.
Use the left and right cursor keys to sweep through the hard drive. If an image is
found, its date and time will be displayed. If the date and time display is blank, no
images exist at this part of the hard drive.
Press the
key to allow finer sweep steps. The horizontal displayed bar now
represents just one dash of the non-zoomed bar. Use the left and right cursor keys to
sweep through this section of the selected drive. Press
zoomed state.
Press any of the PLAY keys to enter PLAY mode at
specified the date and time
When you have found a section of video that you wish
to play, press the PLAY keys as required.
