information on the water pump and initial start-
up.

SOLAR CHARGER PANEL

–If Equipped
The 10-watt roof-mounted solar charger panel
uses the sun to help keep your house batteries
charged. A charge indicator light is provided near
the monitor panel to show you when the solar
panel is actively charging the house batteries.
Solar Charging Indicator
(Located near monitor panel)
-Typical View
• Glows when charging
• Full glow means maximum charge rate
• Gradually dims as batteries charge
• Goes off when batteries fully charged
4-6
NOTE: The solar battery charger is not intended
to make the coach battery system
"maintenance free." The solar panel will
not completely compensate for
continuous low amperage draw from
components such as the propane gas leak
detector, the clock in the dash radio and
the radio station memory circuitry, for
example.
Although the solar panel system can help
to extend battery life, the coach shoreline
should be plugged in routinely to "top
off" the batteries. We also recommend
following regular battery inspection and
maintenance, especially in cold weather.
See "Battery Care" in Section 6 -
Electrical.
POWER CONTROL SYSTEM
(PCS)
–If Equipped
The Power Control System (PCS) monitors
the electrical usage of the appliances and
equipment in the coach and allows you to use
certain high energy appliances, such as the
microwave or washer/dryer, without overloading
the shoreline circuit breaker to help prevent
nuisance tripping.
