    Installation The M680i Expansion Module connects to the right side of the 6865i, 6867i, and 6869i IP phone via the connector plate. Connecting the M680i Expansion Module to Your Phone Use the following procedure to connect the M680i Expansion Module to your IP phone: Locate and remove the two connector plate insertion area rubber caps on the right side of the phone.

    The key card contains label identification spaces for the 16 programmable keys. Insert the paper key card into the programmable key card slot on the front panel of the M680i Expansion Module using the inden- tation of the plastic for alignment.

    Installation Attaching Multiple M680i Expansion Modules Multiple M680i Expansion Modules (up to a total of three) can be daisy-chained to a phone providing an additional 48 programmable keys. Use the following procedure to connect additional M680i Expansion Modules to your IP phone: Turn your phone and connected M680i Expansion Module over so that the back is facing you.

    This process will take approximately 10 seconds, in which case the LED corresponding to the second button on the M680i will stay solid red for the duration. If the upgrade is successful, the LED will turn green.
