STANDALONE APPLICATION

The DMS-3.1 can be used in standalone mode solely as an Apple AirPlay
device. The DMS-3.1 must be on the same Local Area Network (LAN) as the
AirPlay enabled source of the content that is to be streamed.
In a standalone confi guration, the DMS-3.1 audio outputs are connected
directly to the audio inputs of an audio receiver or multichannel amplifi er
(shown) which will power the speakers located in diff erent rooms of the
home. In this confi guration, only content received from an AirPlay enabled
device will be available for playback.

The DMS-3.1 source ID switches will assign a unique name to each stream for
identifi cation within the list of AirPlay speakers from you can stream content
to. On the AirPlay enabled source, press the AirPlay button [AirPlay icon
here] to select the stream on the DMS-3.1 which you wish to send content
to. Note that iTunes permits streaming of content to one or multiple AirPlay
speaker locations while iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad can stream to a single
AirPlay speaker location only. If using a Russound user interface, 'AirPlay' will
be displayed during use and the AirPlay stream will override any other mode
currently in use on the DMS-3.1.
