Chinese input

Each Chinese input method has separate group of settings you can choose from. You
can also choose whether to display traditional or simplified Chinese characters on the
keyboard when using word prediction with Chinese text input.
You need to have at least one Chinese input method added to your keyboard
languages to access Chinese input settings.
1. Go to Settings, and then tap Language & keyboard > HTC Sense Input.
2. Tap Chinese input settings.
3. For the input method you want to use, choose from the available settings.
4. Tap Output characters. Then choose whether to display traditional or simplified
Chinese characters when using word prediction, or tap Customize to set
different Chinese output characters for each input method.
Handwriting input method
With the Handwriting input method, you can write in both Chinese and English.
1. Swipe left across the onscreen keyboard until you see the Handwriting
keyboard.
2. To have a larger screen for writing, tap
3. To switch between writing Chinese and English characters, tap
4. Write the character that you want.
5. To choose a character from the suggestion list, do any of the following:
§ Tap the space bar to insert a highlighted word in the suggestion list.
§ Tap a word from the suggestion list.
§ Tap the arrow next to the suggestion list to see more choices.
Adjusting the Handwriting input time
You can adjust the time you are given to complete writing Chinese characters before
the keyboard accepts your text input.
1. Go to Settings, and then tap Language & keyboard.
2. Tap HTC Sense Input > Chinese input settings > Waiting time.
3. Clear the Automatic waiting time option, and then drag the slider to adjust the
time.
4. When done, tap OK.
