8.4.2 Managing the Read GPS Log Data

When the reading is complete, the PGS log data is saved in NMEA file format in the MCP-4A folder.
The GPS Logger window shows the saved NMEA files. The file name is the time and date when the
data is read.
Two types of NMEA file are created: a file that contains all the log data read from the transceiver and
a file that is divided into blocks. Stop the log to divide the data into blocks, while recording the log on
the transceiver. For example, if you wish to divide the log data into data for outward and return trips,
stopping the logging once will divide the data into two blocks.
The GPS Logger window allows conversion of NMEA files to KML or GPX files, or deletion of the
data.
The GPS Logger window can be opened also from "GPS Logger" in the Tools pulldown menu.
