DVD/VCD Operation

Skip to previous chapter/track

Press briefly [2] ([4] on the remote control)
and press again within 4 seconds of playing
time.
Return to the beginning of the
current chapter/track

Press briefly [2] ([4] on the remote control)
after 4 seconds of playing time.

Scan

Press [1]/[¡] on the remote control during
playback.

Press [1]/[¡] repeatedly on the remote
control to select the required speed:
1×2, 1×4, 1×8, 1×16, 1×32, 1×100
(backward) or ¡×2, ¡×4, ¡ ×8, ¡×16,
¡×32, ¡×100 (forward)
With a Video CD, the scan speed changes: 1×2,
1×4, 1×8, (backward) or ¡×2, ¡×4,
¡×8, (forward).

To return to normal playback, press [3/8]
(PLAY [3] on the remote control).

Repeat

DVD
- Chapter/Title/Off. The default settings
is Off.

To repeat the chapter currently playing, press
[REP] ([REPEAT] on the remote control).
The Chapter icon appears on the TV screen.

To repeat the title currently playing, press
[REP] ([REPEAT] on the remote control) again.
The Title icon appears on the TV screen.

To exit the repeat mode, press [REP] ([REPEAT]
on the remote control) again.
The Off icon appears on the TV screen.

- Track/All The default settings is All.

To repeat the track currently playing, press
[REP] ([REPEAT] on the remote control).
The Track icon appears on the TV screen.

To exit the repeat mode, press [REP] ([REPEAT]
on the remote control) again.
The All icon appears on the TV screen.
• On a Video CD with PBC, you must set PBC to Off on the
setup menu (page 21).

Time search

The Time Search function allows you to start playing
at any chosen time on the disc.

Press [DISPLAY] on the remote control during
playback.
The on-screen display appears on the screen. The
Time Search box shows the elapsed playing time of
the current disc.

Within 10 seconds, press [5]/[∞] to select the
Time Search icon in the on-screen display.
The " – : – –: – –" appears in the Time Search box.

Within 10 seconds, use the number buttons to
enter the required start time.
Enter hours, minutes, and seconds from left to right
in the box.

Within 10 seconds, press [ENTER] to confirm
the start time.
Playback starts from the selected time on the disc.
• If you enter an invalid time, playback will continue
from the current point.
• On a Video CD with PBC, you must set PBC to Off on the
setup menu (page 21).
