19. Connect Cables
Slip the rear end control
cables into the proper cable
guides on the down tube. Be
certain to match the vertical
order of the corresponding
cable from the handle bar.
For instance, if the top cable
from the handlebar is for the
rear derailleur, then the rear
derailleur cable should be in the top position in the rear cable stop.
Then connect the down tube cable spli�ers.
20. Connect Rear Brake
A�ach the rear brake cable
housing to the top tube rear
cable stop by pushing the
spring aside. Connect the
cable spli�er, then close the
rear brake.
Your tandem is now a single!
Before you ride, double
check all connections, cable
spli�ers and clamps.
21. Making your single a tandem again.
Transforming your Project Q single back into a tandem again is just
the reverse of these steps. If you encounter difficulties in reassem-
bling your tandem, refer to the first section on tandem assembly.

Two'sDay Quick Fold

1. Getting Ready
Shi� the drive chain into
the small cog in back and
the small chain ring in front
(the la�er only if you have a
standard drive train). This is
best accomplished when you
are still riding just before
coming to a stop. If your
bike has a kickstand, raise it
at this point.
2. Rear Brake Cable
Next, undo the rear brake
cable spli�er along the top
tube. It may easier if you
open the rear brake. Then
slip the rear-most section of
brake cable housing out of
the rear cable guide.
3. Fold Rear End
With the rear brake cable
disconnected from the
frame, open the rear end
quick release and fold the
rear end under the frame as
far as it will go.
