Uninstall third-party applications
Clear application cache and data
Clear recent applications
1. From any screen, press and hold the Home key.
2. To close an individual application, touch the preview from the list and slide it to the right.
3. To close all recent applications, tap Clear all.

Never install a third-party Task Manager or Battery Manager

These applications interfere with how Android works

Task manager

A task manager can view running apps and close them. To use the task manager, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
2. Scroll to and tap Task Manager.
3. Choose one of the following options:
o
To stop an application individually, tap Stop next to the application name.
o
To stop all running applications, tap Stop all.
4. Tap the Menu key, and then tap Settings.
5. To automatically clear your RAM:
1. Select the Auto clear RAM check box.
2. Tap Auto clear period and select the desired interval.
To prevent automatic clearing of RAM, clear the Auto clear RAM check box.

View free memory

To view the amount of free internal memory, follow these steps:
1. From any Home screen, tap the Menu key.
2. Tap System settings.
3. Scroll to 'DEVICE,' and then tap Apps.
4. Touch the screen and slide left to view the 'RUNNING' screen.
5. View the RAM 'free' value in the lower-right corner.
Tap Update [x] to update all applications with updates available.
Select an individual application, and then tap Update to update.
