CLEANING THE LOWER PADDLE (MONTHLY)

The Lower Paddle needs to be cleaned once a month in order to
operate efficiently. The ash dumping process causes the holes in
the lower paddle to eventually clog with ash.
1.
Turn off the UBB and allow to cool (2 hours).
2.
On the control panel, push the "ON" and then the "OFF"
button immediately to clear the burn pot and to place the
lower paddle in the correct position for cleaning.
3.
Unplug the UBB.
4.
Open the glass door or ash drawer to gain access to the
burn pot.
5.
Looking into the burn pot with a flashlight, insert a 1/8"
drill bit, toothpick, or similar diameter tool into the holes,
clearing each blocked hole.
CLEANING THE AIR FILTER FOR THE IGNITION AIR
COMPRESSOR (YEARLY)
The air filter for the air compressor will only need to be cleaned if
the UBB is installed in a dusty environment. Inspect the air filter
annually. If it appears dirty, remove and clean with a mild detergent
and water. Once dry, replace.

REPLACING THE UBB AIR FILTER (2-3 MONTHS)

The air filter for the UBB is located in the back of the UBB. The filter
should be checked monthly and replaced every 2 to 3 months
depending on usage. A clogged filter will reduce the efficiency of
the UBB. The filter can be replaced with most 16" x 16" x 1" filters, or
if not available, 20" x 16" x 1" filters. Do not run the UBB without the
filter in place as its primary function is to keep dust and dirt out of
the mechanical components in the UBB.
