After the chimney has been attached, allow mortar on oven/chimney to dry, following the
instructions on the label.

Upon drying, fire up the oven to cure mortar. The oven should be heated up to 350
degrees F. Do not over fire.

After curing the mortar, cover the oven with the fiber insulation blanket provided in the kit.
It is important to wear gloves and masks when handling this material.

It is best to insulate the dome and mouth of oven by wrapping it around the base as
illustrated below.

The insulation blanket must be cut at the top in order for it to fold down for a snug fit as
shown below.

Refractory fireplace mortar must be cured by starting a low fire in the oven until the grout is dry. Increase heat thereafter to
complete the curing for 1-2 hours. DO NOT OVER FIRE!!! If flame spills out of oven opening, you are over firing. It is of utmost
importance that the chimney is attached prior to curing the oven.
