3.3 Installing the Mini-ITX Board

The installation of the built-in Mini-ITX board into the IPC chassis is performed prior to shipment. The following steps are
taken:
Step 1: All jumpers settings are verified to be located in the proper position.
Step 2: Installation and configuration of the CPU and memory module is performed and verified.
Step 3: The Mini-ITX board is placed in its fixed position on the system.
Step 4: Cable connections to existing peripheral devices are secured.
REMINDER
Verify the Mini-ITX board is properly inserted and fixed by the mechanism.

3.3.1 Chipset Component Driver

The chipset on the built-in Mini-ITX board is a new chipset that may be unrecognizable to some older operating systems.
To overcome this compatibility issue for Windows
operating systems such as Windows 2000/XP, please install the INF
®
files before any other drivers are installed. You can find this chipset component driver on the WinSystems website.
3.3.2 Intel
Integrated Graphics GMCH Chip
®
Using Intel
945GSE GMCH with Media Accelerator (GMA) 950 graphics integrated chipset provides outstanding graphic
®
performance. Shared 8 accompany it to 128 MB system DDR2 SDRAM with Total Graphics Memory. This combination
makes the built-in N270 Mini-ITX board an excellent piece of multimedia hardware.

3.3.3 Realtek Gigabit Ethernet Controller

Driver Support
Please find the Realtek RTL8111C LAN driver in the Ethernet section of the PPC65 detail page on the WinSystems website.
The drivers support Windows 2000/XP.
