Playback Features

ATTENTION
Picture may not appear during high-speed search with an
LP-recorded tape. (HR-J480EU only)
In the high-speed search, still, slow motion or frame by
frame playback mode, the picture will be distorted, and
there will be a loss of colour.

During still picture, press and hold
release. Press and release again to return to still picture.

High-Speed Search

During playback or still, press

NOTE:
For short searches, press and hold
2 seconds during playback or still picture. When released,
normal playback resumes.

Variable Speed Search

During playback, press
The more times you press, the faster the playback picture
moves.
To decrease speed, press the button for the opposite direction.
To resume normal playback, press

When you play back a tape recorded in S-VHS format and the
SP mode, noise may appear in the still, slow motion, or frame-
by-frame playback mode.
Depending on the tape, noise may appear during normal
playback.
