From the File menu, select System Information.

On the "System Information" page, locate the "Speed / Stepping" entry in the "Processor 0"

section. The line should look like the following:
Speed / Stepping
where <stepping> represents the CPU stepping value, for example 6F6.
Use the CPU stepping value with the table above to determine which BIOS version you need.

Return to the File menu, and select Ignore Changes and Exit.

The BIOS version currently installed on your system appears on the screen while booting the
workstation. The following procedure describes how to update a Linux workstation to the
certified BIOS version required by your Autodesk Effects or Editing application.
To update the BIOS on your workstation:
Load the DKU CD in the DVD-ROM drive on the workstation.

Open a terminal.

Type:

cd /mnt/cdrom/Utils/BIOS/
Each platform supported by the version of your Effects or Editing application has its own
directory that contains an .iso file.

For more information about updating the BIOS on your workstation, refer to the
OTE
README file located in your platform's directory.
Type:

cd <platform>
5.
Burn the .iso file for your platform onto a CD-ROM and place it in the DVD-ROM drive on
the workstation.
Reboot the workstation and press F10 to enter Setup.
6.
Select a language.
7.
From the File menu, select Flash System ROM.
8.
The Select a Drive menu appears.
9.
Click Optical Drive.
The Select a Drive confirmation menu appears.
Press F10 to confirm.
