15. Access Denial

Denial of access will be indicated by amber Voice and Data LEDs on the IDU. Check the IBSU status webpage
under the "Satellite Connection" heading for the Access Denial code. This may be helpful in diagnosing the
problem with your service provider or Iridium customer support.

16. Performance Problems

Voice and data problems can be attributed to several causes.
1. User expectation can be the first order of problem resolution. Is the IBSU provisioned for all the service levels
the customer expects? Is the voice performance consistent with satellite communications? This may not be
as good as the end user expects. Is the data rate slow due to abnormal application interaction with the IBSU?
Is the user expecting the "ramp-up" time?
2. The voice and data may be actually impeded due to:
a. Interference at the install location
b. Blockage of the ODU view of the sky
3. Voice quality is poor
a. Potential issue with terrestrial network the Iridium Pilot Land Station unit is attempting to connect to.
Attempt to place a call to an alternate exchange and assess call quality.
