• If the USB memory device is divided into multiple partitions, only the
top partition can be selected.
• The S-302 is compatible with MP3 files conforming to "MPEG-1
Audio Layer-3" standards.
Playing a Portable Audio
Your portable audiO player can be connected to the S-
302's portable Jack to play tracks on the portable audiO
player.

• DENON will take no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage
to data on USB memory devices when using the USB memory
device connected to the S-302.
• USB memory devices will not work via a USB hub.
• DENON does not guarantee that all USB memory devices will operate
or receive power. When using a USB connection type portable hard
disk of the type for which power can be supplied by connecting an
AC adapter, we recommend using the AC adapter.
• It is not possible to connect and use a computer via the S-302's USB
port using a USB cable.
• The S-302 is not compatible with the iPod shuffle.

Playing Files Stored on USB Memory
Devices
Only USB memory devices conforming to mass storage
class and MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) standards can be
played on the S-302.

mark is indicated in front of music files that can be
played, and a
"1m"
mark is indicated in front of image files that
can be played.
Depending on the size of the still picture (JPEGI file, some time may
be required for the file to be displayed.

Selecting tracks
During playback, either press [CHANNEL-] (previous track) or [CHANNEL+]
(next track).
Playing in random order

[RANDOM]
on the remote control unit. (Only valid in the stop
mode)
• Connections to the required system and specific settings must be
made in order to play music files (l8r'page 15).
• Before starting, you must launch the computer's server software
and set the files as server contents. For details, see the operating
instructions of your server software.
• Depending on the size of the still picture (JPEG) file, some time may
be required for the file to be displayed.
Selecting tracks
During playback, either press

(previous track) or

(next
track).
Playing files that have been Registered in Your
Favorites
Files can be preset. registered in your favorites and played using the
same operations as for Internet radio stations.

• When the operation described below is performed, the music
server's database is updated and it may no longer be possible to play
or favorite music files.
• When you quit the music server and then restart it.
• When music files are deleted or added on the music server.
• When using an ESCIENT server, place "ESCIENT" before the server
name.
