14. Servicing Mode

14.1 Auto OFF/ON Button

1 OPERATION MODE
The operation will be activated immediately once the AUTO OFF/ON button is pressed. This operation can
be used to operate air conditioner with limited function if remote control is misplaced or malfunctioned.
2 TEST RUN OPERATION (FOR PUMP DOWN/SERVICING PURPOSE)
The Test Run operation will be activated if the Auto OFF/ON button is pressed continuously for more than 5
seconds. A "beep" sound will occur at the fifth second, in order to identify the starting of this operation.
3 VARIOUS SETTING MODE
The Various Setting Mode will be activated if (within 20 seconds of Test Run Operation) the Auto OFF/ON
button is pressed for more than 5 seconds. 2 "beep" sounds will be heard to identify the starting of this
operation.
Under Various Setting mode, user could perform the following operation:
i) Remote control receiving sound OFF/ON
Press "Auto OFF/ON button" to toggle remote control receiving sound.
- Short "beep": Turn ON remote control receiving sound.
- Long "beep": Turn OFF remote control receiving sound.
After Auto OFF/ON Button is pressed, the 20 seconds counter for Remote Control Receiving Sound
OFF/ON Mode is restarted.
- When OFF/ON button is press continuously for more than 15 seconds and release within less than 20
seconds, AC reset code is transmitted immediately.
- When OFF/ON button is press continuously for more than 5 seconds and release within less than 10
seconds, check code is transmitted immediately.

14.2 Remote Control Number switch

There are 2 types of remote control transmission code could be selected and stored in EEPROM of indoor
o
unit. The indoor unit will only operate when received signal with same transmission code from remote control.
This could prevent signal interference when there are 2 indoor units installed nearby together.
To change remote control transmission code, short or open jumpers at the remote control printed circuit
o
board.
During unit is OFF (remote control OFF indicator is shown), after select the transmission code combination of
o
remote control, press OFF/ON button for 20 seconds at remote control to transmit and store the desired
transmission code to the EEPROM.
