Responding to a newsgroup message is similar to responding to an e-mail
message. The difference is that instead of a Reply All button, you have a Reply
Group button. Reply Group posts your response to the entire newsgroup, whereas
Reply posts your response to the person who posted the message to the newsgroup.

Work with Windows Messenger

The latest addition to the world of personal computer communication tools is instant
messaging. Windows Messenger, shown in Figure 7-14, is the instant messaging
program included with Windows XP. It allows instant text chatting between any
two Windows Messenger users who are online at the same time. In addition, Windows
Messenger is enhanced to support file transfers and group chats, and it allows you
to make voice calls to other computers or even telephone calls from your Tablet PC.
The rest of this chapter is dedicated to helping you start using this powerful
communication tool.
Outlook Express makes it easy to participate in newsgroups; worldwide
public discussions containing thousands of messages on any of literally
tens of thousands of subjects.
