Getting Started Unpacking After unpacking, check to be sure that you have all the following items. The number in parentheses indicates the quantity of each piece supplied. • AM loop antenna (1) • Remote control (1) • Batteries (2) If any item is missing, consult your dealer immediately. Basic and Common Operations Setting the Clock Before operating the unit any further, first set the unit’s clock. When you plug in the power cord, “AM12:00” starts flashing on the display. You can set the clock when the unit is either turned on or in standby mode. -

Using an External Equipment Listening to the External Equipment You can listen to the external equipment such as MD recorder, cassette deck, or other auxiliary. • First, make sure that the external equipment is properly connected to the unit. Using the Timers Daily Timer and Sleep Timer are available. • Before using these timers, make sure the built-in clock is set correctly (see page 8). Using the Daily Timer You can store three Daily timer settings and use one of settings at once. -

Using the Timers To deactivate the timer temporarily, (1) Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedly to select the Timer Number indicator to cancel. The on-time appears and the Timer Number indicator begins to blink. (2) Press CANCEL. The Timer Number indicator disappears and the display returns to the normal indication. -
