Check / Fill Transmission Oil Level

Oil Type: SAE 20W-50 motor oil
1. Check the oil level when the unit is cold. The oil should be
up to the "FULL COLD" mark (A, Figure 23) on the
transmission oil reservoirs (B). If the oil is below this level,
proceed to step 2.
23
2. Before removing the reservoir cap (C), make sure that the
area around the reservoir cap and fill neck of the reservoir
is free of dust, dirt, and other debris. Remove the reservoir
caps.
3. Add oil up to the "FULL COLD" mark.
4. Re-install the reservoir cap.

Change Hydraulic Oil Filter

Change Interval: Every 400 Hours (Initial hydraulic oil and filter
change after first 100 hours of operation)
Filter Part Number: 5101987X2
24
NOTE: Removing the oil filter from the transmission will drain
the oil reservoir. Have a suitable container ready to catch any
spilled oil. The manufacturer recommends this be a dealer-only
service item.
1. Locate the hydraulic oil filter (A, Figure 24) on the side of
the transaxle.
24
2. Remove the filter cover (C) and o-ring (B).
3. Remove and discard the hydraulic filter.
4. Inspect all parts for wear or damage, replacing as
necessary.
5. Install the new filter, new o-ring and filter cover. Torque the
cover to 40-45 ft. lbs. (54-61 Nm).
NOTE: Use caution after changing the filter; air in the hydraulic
system may affect the responsiveness of the control levers.

Checking Tire Pressures

Tire pressure should be checked periodically, and maintained
at the levels shown in the Specifications chart. Note that these
pressures may differ slightly from the "Max Inflation" stamped
on the side-wall of the tires. The pressures shown provide proper
traction and extend tire life.

Lubrication

Lubricate the unit at the locations shown in Figures 25, 26, and
27 as well as the following lubrication points:
