Formatting SmartMedia

1. Turn the unit ON. Insert SmartMedia
into insertion slot (refer to p.4). SmartMedia
Card icon stops to blink.
If SmartMedia
Card has never
been formatted.
2. Formatting
starts auto-
matically. FOR
flashes on
display.
• FAIL shows on display if SmartMedia
defective and cannot be formatted.
• Never remove SmartMedia
during recording, playback or erasing. Recorded
content may be destroyed.
• This unit is only compatible with SmartMedia
card and at maximum capacity of 8MB.
• To protect data from being accidentally erased,
adhere a write-protect sticker to area indicated.
