CableCARD

Installation and Activation
If you already have a CableCARD, insert the card into the back of the DVR. If you are
waiting to pick up a CableCARD from the cable company office, or you are not going
to use a CableCARD (Antenna or Clear QAM installs), follow the prompts to continue
without a CableCARD. When the CableCARD options screen appears, select Cable-
CARD for installers. Confirm the coax is connected before you begin this process. An
active connection over coax is required to activate the card. From the CableCARD
Options menu make the following selections:
Motorola
Select CableCARD Menu
Scientifi Atlanta
Select CableCARD Menu
™
Select CableCARD Pairing
Write down the Card Serial #, Host ID and Data ID
CARD Serial # _______-_______-_______-_______-___
Host ID _______-_______-_______-_______-___
Data ID _______-_______-_______-_____
Select SA CableCARD/Host ID Screen
Write down the Card Serial #, Host ID and Data ID
CARD Serial # _______-_______-_______-_______-___
Host ID _______-_______-_______-_______-___
Data ID _______-_______-_______-_____
When completed, the Cable Company will verify
that the CableCARD is paired correctly.
