REGULATOR TEST (See Figure 10F-3)
1. With the RED lead connected to terminal B of
the alternator, remove cable plug from side of
alternator.
2. Set the multimeter to the continuity
position.
3. Touch the multimeter leads to the two terminals of
the alternator connector, then switch terminals.

Should have continuity in one direction ONLY.
•
If NO continuity or continuity in both directions,
regulator may be faulty. Refer to the engine
manufacturer's service manual for detailed test
and repair instructions.
