.
Moving the a i r c r a f t by hand is a c -
complished by using the wing s t r u t s and landing g e a r
s t r u t s
as
push points
.
A tow b a r attached to the nose
g e a r should be used for steering and maneuvering the
a i r c r a f t on the ground
.
When no tow b a r is available.
p r e s s down a t the horizontal stabilizer front s p a r ad-
jacent to the fuselage t o raise the nose wheel off the
ground
.
With the nose wheel
clear of the ground. the
a i r c r a f t can be turned by pivoting it about the main
wheels
.

When towing the aircraft. never turn the nose
wheel more than 30 degrees either side of
center or the nose g e a r will be damaged

Do
not push on control surfaces or outboard e m -
pennage surfaces

When pushing on the tail-
cone. always apply p r e s s u r e
at a
bulkhead to
avoid buckling the skin
